You may have read my post last week about Soma’s 4th bi-annual Giving is Beautiful™ Bra Donation Event going on now through February 26th. I wanted to share some amazing coverage this special initiative received on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda (fast forward to 9:45) and Glamour.com.
Also, to kick off this campaign, we’re challenging you to guess how many bras we’ll collect and donate during our 4th bi-annual Bra Donation Event. You could win a $250 Soma Intimates gift card…and we’ll make a $500 donation in your name to the NNEDV shelter of YOUR choice. Closest guess wins! It’s easy to enter – simply click here.
Lastly, click here to learn how YOU can get involved – it’s as simple as spreading the word to your Facebook friends (Soma will donate $1 to NNEDV up to $5,000 each time you do!).

What if I told you that 1 in 4 women become victims of domestic violence over the course of her lifetime. And in just one day, almost 12,000 women will spend the night in a domestic violence shelter and another 5,000 sleep in a domestic violence transitional housing program. Many of these women, over 4 million annually, often come with only the clothes on their backs.
What if I told you that YOU could help these women by doing something as simple as cleaning out your top drawer?
I’m thrilled to announce Soma’s 4th annual Giving is Beautiful™ Bra Donation Event. Bras are one of the least donated but most needed clothing items for women in need. This year, we’ve partnered with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), the leading voice for survivors of domestic violence, representing over 2,000 shelter programs across 56 state and territory coalitions throughout the United States.
Donating is easy; simply bring new or gently worn bras to any Soma Intimates boutique across the country between January 12th and February 26th or mail your donation to:
Soma Bra Donation
c/o National Network to End Domestic Violence
2001 S Street NW, Suite 400
Washington, DC 20009
Bras collected during this campaign will benefit local domestic violence shelters in your community, which are part of the larger network of shelters working with NNEDV.
Thanks to our wonderful customers and associates, since we started the Bra Donation Event in 2010, Soma has collected and donated over 145,000 bras to women in need!
So clean out your drawers! Together, we can meet Soma’s goal of collecting a quarter of a million bras to help make a difference in the lives of so many women.
