Dear Jessica,
As I always tell my students, there are no dumb questions–but maybe mine is. Here goes: on many if not all of my Soma panties, there is a cotton lining, sewn at the back end, but not at the front. Why? Just wondering, and thanks. I love Soma!
Andrea

Dear Andrea,
It’s a great question! I consulted our technical design team and here’s what I learned: it all boils down to aesthetics. If the gusset lining is sewn, you will see a seam at the front of the panty. If the lining isn’t sewn, which is also called “floating”, there’s no seam. Regardless of whether the gusset is floating or sewn, Soma fits every panty on real women, of different shapes and sizes, before it is brought to market. We take great care in ensuring the lining is comfortable against the body.
Glad to hear you love Soma and thanks for your question!
Xx,
Jessica
