When we heard bras were among the most needed yet least donated items of clothing for women, we knew we had to do something to help. That’s why two years ago we created the Giving is Beautiful Soma Bra Donation, our charity initiative to support women in need. Since then, we’ve held four bra donation events. Our grand total now exceeds 265,000!

We never could have reached that incredible number without our loyal and caring Soma customers—but we’d love to see that number grow even more! From July 9th to August 12th, Soma boutiques nationwide will be collecting new and gently worn bras to be given to local shelters affiliated with the National Network to End Domestic Violence, which represents more than 2,000 shelters in the United States. Each year, more than 4 million women stay in domestic violence shelters, many who arrive with only the clothes on their backs. While donating might seem like a small thing, it makes a big difference to women choosing between buying a bra and putting food on the table. Here are three ways you can help:

1. Give Bras. Clean out your top drawer and bring new or gently worn bras to any Soma boutique.

2. Mail Bras. If you don’t yet have a Soma boutique near you, you can mail bras to:
Soma Bra Donation c/o The Bra Recyclers
3317 S. Higley Rd, Ste 114-441
Gilbert, AZ 85297

3. Donate Online. Support victims of domestic violence when you visit soma.com and make a monetary contribution to NNEDV.
